To mark Christmas, special accommodation packages are available including a choice of Half Board (Breakfast and Dinner), Full Board (Breakfast. Lunch and Dinner) and All-Inclusive options.   The all-villa island resort offers 4 different room categories for stays, each appealing to different clientele from around the world, whether it be the romance of the Overwater Villas, the convenience of beach access from the two storey Beach Houses with a sand floor living space on the lower level, the comfortable Beach Villas with their stunning views and outdoor hammocks or the Garden Villas set back from the beach a little, amongst the green spaces with their open air-showers and outdoor seating areas.  Accommodation over the festive season starts at US$435++ per night, based on double occupancy staying in a Garden Villa, with a minimum of 3 nights stay.

Especially for Christmas, a gala dinner will be held on Christmas Eve (24 December) at the resort’s all day dining restaurant Kandooma Cafe. Guests can expect a treasure trove of seafood as well as local Maldivian favourites and exquisite salads influenced by the flavours of Asia.   The gala dinner is US$278++ per person.  Complimentary for children under 12 years.

On Christmas day, celebrate with a sumptuous Seafood Buffet including international favourites.

Over the festive period there is plenty to do at Kandooma Fushi.   A full activities schedule has been prepared for both young and old and the Kandoo Kids’ Club has a variety of fun and educational activities for the little ones – there is no putting the kids in front of a movie all day here!  With its own water playground and indoor temperature-controlled craft zones complemented by island adventures and discoveries, the little ones are sure to enjoy their time. 

NEW YEAR’S EVE

New Year’s Eve (31st December) is a highlight as we say goodbye to the year that has been and welcome 2023.   An exciting ‘Glow it Up’ Gala Dinner will be held Poolside at the Kandooma Cafe with a feast fit for a King.    Following dinner the “Glow it Up DJ Party” will continue for revellers.    The New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner is US$408++ per person. Complimentary for children under 12 years.

Both Gala Dinner celebrations have a Sapphire Blue and White theme and guests are encouraged to pack something to wear to get into the spirit of the festivities.  

For guests staying longer than a few nights, there are some terrific opportunities to experience Scuba Diving.  The younger ones are encouraged to try the PADI Bubblemaker under the guidance of the experienced and qualfiied dive team.  For those guests who curious about the world beneath the surface, they can enroll in a PADI Open Water Dive course at the fully fledged Kandooma Dive Centre (time permitting) and make a great start to their new hobby.

RUSSIAN CHRISTMAS

Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives is a popular choice for guests from Russia and as such the Resort is planning a terrific celebration for Russian Orthodox Christmas which falls on 7 January.  A beach party complete with a DJ will delight party goers. 

GIVE NATURE A SPECIAL GIFT THIS FESTIVE SEASON

This year for the first time Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives is providing visitors with the opportunity to give a gift to nature by sponsoring a Coral Frame. Several years ago, the Maldives was affected by coral bleaching. Today, the reefs are rejuvenating but at Kandooma we give nature a helping hand through our Coral Frame Regeneration project. In simple terms a steel frame is constructed that will allow tidal movement and ease of water flow, while simultaneously serving as a great anchor to affix living coral.  Under the guidance of our marine biology team, guests are invited to leave a living treasure on the sea bed as tribute to their stay in the Maldives. The marine biology team continue with ongoing monitoring of the coral frames by tracking growth and observing new habitats as they form. Priced from US$69++ for a small frame, the money goes towards the resort’s regeneration efforts. Once the coral is established, it will flourish and create a new habitat for marine life reflecting in an array of beautiful living colour beneath the surface of the Indian Ocean.
