The nearby inhabited island of Gaddhoo is renowned throughout the Maldives for the intricate reed mats, known as “Thundu Kunaa” woven by the local women. The local island guide will introduce the weavers and allow you to witness the mats being created, followed by a walk through the island of Gaddhoo with an introduction to the colourful personalities of the island and its untouched culture, afterwhich, enjoy a traditional lunch.
