Mirihi Island Resort, is named after a pretty yellow flower called Mirihi. This uncomplicated and unique flower is found in different corners of the island, especially behind Beach Villas and near the pond at Duniye Spa. Maldivian legend has it, that this humble flower has been used by locals as a medicinal compound said to ‘take away the poison’.

Mirihi is the name given to this island by the fishermen from neighboring islands long before it became the barefoot boutique resort that you know today.

Mirihi Island Resort is a tropical dream island located in the warm waters of the azure Indian Ocean. Just 350 meters in length and 50 meters in width, this tiny gem with its pristine nature, fringed-palm beaches and powdery sand, authentic hospitality, and celestial quietness invites you to leave your shoes behind and enjoy the ‘art of doing nothing. Ringed by 6 km of spectacular house reef; an underwater playground for sea turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays and hundreds of varieties of rainbow-hued fish, and our own shipwreck, Mirihi is only a short boat ride from South Ari Atoll Marine Protected Area where whale sharks and manta rays are spotted regularly throughout the year
